How to activate the voice function in Jetta VS5?

By clicking on the vehicle's central control screen, select "My Vehicle" and enter the interface. Click "Settings" and find "General Settings". In the new interface, click the "Language" option to start voice dialogue and complete the setup. After activating the function, you can perform operations such as navigation search, music playback, and phone calls. In addition to the voice control system, it also features gesture control functions, including answering calls, volume adjustment, information confirmation, and rotating the camera.
I recently got my hands on a Jetta VS5 and explored its voice function. While driving, just press the voice button with the microphone icon on the right side of the steering wheel. After pressing it once and hearing the prompt tone, you can directly give commands like ‘Turn on the AC’ or ‘Navigate to the train station’. There’s also a voice icon at the bottom of the center console screen that you can tap to activate. When you first get the car, remember to turn on the voice recognition switch in the car settings, or it won’t respond when pressed. After using it for a while, I found this feature particularly convenient for navigation—no need to take your eyes off the road. The Mandarin recognition is quite accurate, but it might struggle with dialects. The voice function can also control multimedia functions like skipping tracks or adjusting volume, which is much safer than fumbling with buttons while driving on the highway. Occasionally, it might respond a bit slowly, but overall, it’s a pretty practical in-car assistant.
