How to Activate the Rear Seat Entertainment System in a Mercedes-Benz?

After inserting a USB drive, select the USB as the source in the rear media system, then choose the files from the USB to play. The rear media system can be viewed while driving. The rear media system supports music formats such as MP3 and WMV. Files that comply with the system's playback formats can be played. Simply copy music to an SD card and insert it into the USB port for use. Connect your phone using a data cable and select files from the phone to play. The phone playback allows you to control the progress, including fast-forwarding and rewinding videos and music. Before playing, ensure the format is compatible. Only AVI or MP mode videos can be played; other video formats are not supported.
When I first got my Mercedes-Benz GLS, I didn’t know how to operate the rear screens either, but I figured it out later. After powering on the car, first locate the remote control in the center armrest console in the back. Press the power button in the upper-left corner to turn it on. If the remote runs out of battery, don’t worry—there’s a hidden physical button on the side of the screen; hold it for three seconds to start the system. Once booted up, it’ll prompt you to select a signal source. Using Bluetooth to connect your phone is the most convenient option—just enable rear-seat device permissions in the car’s settings. Be careful not to let the screen get direct sunlight in summer; my friend’s screen once developed color spots from sun exposure. The Mercedes system is quite responsive, playing 1080p videos without lag, but remember: the driver can’t watch videos while driving—safety first!
