How to Activate the Lock Beep Sound on Volkswagen Bora?

Volkswagen factory settings do not enable this feature by default. If you want an audible confirmation when locking/unlocking the vehicle, you need to access the 09-Central Electrical System using diagnostic equipment. This operation cannot be performed individually. To activate the sound, visit an authorized 4S dealership and have technicians modify the long coding via computer.
Every time I park my Volkswagen Bora, I press the key to lock the car, and the sound gives a satisfying confirmation. Activating the locking sound is actually quite simple: Get in the car without starting the engine, press the start button twice to power up the dashboard, then hold down the lock button on the key for 10 seconds until you hear a beep—that means it’s successful. If there’s no response, try operating via the center console screen—navigate to the ‘Vehicle Settings’ menu, select ‘Doors/Locks,’ and check the ‘Sound Feedback’ option. However, note that lower trim models before 2019 might not have this feature and may require a hidden program update at a 4S dealership. Once, a friend of mine accidentally triggered the anti-theft system while tinkering around, and it ended up requiring a tow truck to resolve. So, if you’re unsure, it’s best to check the car’s manual to confirm the model’s configuration.
