There are two ways to wake up the voice control in BYD Song. One is to directly say "Hello Xiaodi", and the other is to press the button on the multifunction steering wheel. The voice control button is located below the right-side scroll wheel. Here is an extended introduction: 1. Directly say "Hello Xiaodi": The voice control can manage many functions, such as switching music, directly selecting songs, adjusting volume, setting navigation, making phone calls, controlling air conditioning, and more. Almost all functions can be controlled, even the sunroof, making it very convenient to operate. 2. Press the button on the multifunction steering wheel: In addition to activating the voice system, the multifunction steering wheel of BYD Song can also control the central display screen for app switching, adjust volume, rotate the central display screen, and manage the start/stop and distance adjustment of the ACC adaptive cruise control.

Using the voice function in the BYD Song is quite simple. I usually press the voice button on the right side of the steering wheel, the one with the microphone icon, to activate it. You can also directly say 'Hello Xiaodi' – models after the 2021 version support this command. While driving, I often say 'Xiaodi, turn on the air conditioning' or 'Navigate to the office,' and it recognizes these commands accurately. After upgrading to the DiLink 3.0 system, you can even control the sunroof by voice – just say 'I want to see the stars' and the sunroof opens automatically. If there's no response, check the car's internet connection status, as the voice function may be limited when offline.

As a female driver, I was most afraid of getting distracted by touching the screen while driving. The voice system of the Song really saved me. When I picked up the car, the salesperson taught me to use the voice button on the lower left side of the steering wheel, and now even my mom has learned how to use it. When the windows are closed, shouting 'Hello Xiaodi' works most sensitively, and saying 'Close all windows' on rainy days is especially practical. Recently, I discovered that saying 'I'm hungry' automatically recommends restaurants, and saying 'It's too sunny' adjusts the sunshade. Last time, my child in the back seat shouted 'Play Lone Brave' and it was also recognized—this microphone can even pick up sounds from the back seat.

The third-generation DiLink infotainment system offers three ways to activate voice commands: 1. Physical voice button on the steering wheel 2. Global wake-up phrase 'Hello DiDi' 3. Virtual button at the bottom of the central control screen. Tests show a 92% success rate in activation at 60 km/h, but volume needs to be increased in noisy environments. Important note: the 2020 model uses 'Hello DiDi' for activation, while models after 2021 have changed to 'Hello DiDi'. Users can customize up to 6 voice commands. For example, I've set up a 'Home Mode' that simultaneously executes navigation, window closing, and music playback. If activation fails, holding the infotainment power button for 15 seconds to reboot usually resolves the issue.
