IZOA's automatic emergency braking system is enabled by default. When the vehicle speed exceeds 30km/h, the system will automatically activate. The system works by using front radar to detect obstacles ahead, triggering automatic braking to protect occupants. IZOA is an SUV model under FAW Toyota, featuring Toyota Safety Sense as standard equipment across all variants. It is powered by a 2.0L Dynamic Force Engine and represents FAW Toyota's first TNGA platform-based SUV. Regarding dimensions, IZOA measures 4405mm in length, 1795mm in width, 1565mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2640mm.

When I first bought the IZOA, I also wondered how to activate the automatic braking. It's quite simple. This feature is called the Pre-Collision System, which is enabled by default but may not always give a prompt. After powering on the car and waiting for the self-check to complete, press the menu button on the right side of the steering wheel to bring up the dashboard display. Then use the directional keys to find the 'Settings' or 'Safety System' option, and look for 'Pre-Collision Safety System' inside. Select to enable it. While driving, it automatically monitors vehicles ahead and will brake or warn you if there's a collision risk. Remember to keep the front camera and radar clean—performance may be reduced in rain or fog. It's best not to turn it off as it adds a lot of safety. After using it for over half a year, I find it very reassuring. It automatically braked twice, helping me avoid rear-end collisions. New drivers should definitely enable it.

The active braking system is a fundamental part of the intelligent safety features on the IZOA, and its activation method is directly linked to the vehicle's menu system. After starting the car, an icon will appear on the dashboard. You need to press the steering wheel buttons near the center console to switch menus, look for something like 'Vehicle Settings,' then enter the 'Driver Assistance Systems' section, where you'll find the 'Pre-Collision Assist' switch. Once enabled, the system scans for obstacles ahead every second, combining radar distance measurement to prevent rear-end collisions. I recommend regularly checking the system settings to ensure it's activated, especially during high-speed driving when it reacts much faster. It works even better when combined with adaptive cruise control, but don't rely on it too much—keep your hands on the wheel and stay alert.

Enabling the automatic braking system prioritizes driving safety. When starting the IZOA, wait for the screen to light up after ignition, then use the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel to open the main menu. Select 'Driver Support' or a similar option, locate the pre-collision switch, and confirm activation. The system relies on front cameras and sensors to detect the movement of vehicles ahead, automatically intervening with braking in case of danger. When activated, a green icon will display on the dashboard under normal conditions, while a yellow warning light indicates deactivation. Regular maintenance is essential—ensure to clean the windshield of any dirt to maintain system accuracy.
