How to Activate the Auto Hold Function in the Levin?
1 Answers
The Levin's Auto Hold function is activated simply by enabling the AUTOHOLD feature. Once activated, it automatically engages the four-wheel braking system when the vehicle is stopped at traffic lights or on inclines, keeping the car stationary even in D or N gear without the need to continuously press the brake pedal or use the handbrake. The Auto Hold function utilizes a slope sensor to provide precise braking force through the controller. During startup, the parking control unit calculates information from the clutch distance sensor, clutch engagement speed sensor, and throttle pedal sensor, automatically releasing the parking brake when the driving force exceeds the running resistance, ensuring a smooth start. The Levin is a compact sedan with dimensions of 4640mm in length, 1780mm in width, and 1455mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2700mm. It comes in two powertrain versions: the fuel-powered model is equipped with a direct-injection turbocharged engine, while the hybrid version features Toyota's THSII hybrid system, paired with a 1.8L Atkinson-cycle inline-four engine specifically designed for hybrid applications.
