The Envision's one-touch window lift does not require additional activation and can be used directly. One-touch window lift refers to a system where the window glass can be controlled to fully open or close with a single press of a button. The Envision is General Motors' new-generation global strategic model, inheriting the design essence of the ENVISION Vision concept car. In terms of body dimensions, it measures 4686mm in length, 1839mm in width, and 1686mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2750mm. For powertrain options, the Envision is equipped with 1.5T and 2.0T engines. The 1.5T engine delivers a maximum power of 124 kW and a peak torque of 250 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

My Envision also experienced one-touch window lift failure before, and the activation steps are actually not difficult. First, sit in the driver's seat, start the engine to ensure stable voltage, then manually lower the window all the way down. Next, press and hold the window lift button until the window is fully closed and continue holding for about 5 seconds. At this point, the window will relearn its highest position. After that, press and hold the window down button to the lowest point for 5 seconds to memorize the lowest position. The whole process is somewhat similar to a factory reset on a phone, mainly to clear old data and relearn the lifting and lowering trajectory. This operation is often needed after power disconnection or battery replacement. Remember to activate each window individually; if the driver's side control button operates other windows, each window still needs to be operated separately to ensure all one-touch up and down functions work properly.

Activating the one-touch window lift is essentially resetting the window system to remember its position points. First, lower the window completely, then pull and hold the lift button to raise it all the way up without releasing. Hold for about 5 seconds. A click sound or a slight movement of the window indicates successful memory. Then repeat the process: press and hold the down button to the bottom for 5 seconds. Note that this must be done with the ignition on, otherwise the system won't have power to learn. I once had to do this after a battery drain, and the window function was restored. If water seeps into the window tracks during car washing, it might trigger a protection mode causing the function to fail, requiring reactivation. After activation, it's advisable to test the anti-pinch function several times to ensure it works properly, as safety is paramount.

Activating the one-touch window lift feature on the Envision is quite simple: First, start the ignition to power up the vehicle, select the window you wish to set, and manually lower it all the way down. Then, press and hold the window lift button until the window is fully closed, and continue holding for an additional 3-5 seconds without releasing. Similarly, press the window down button to lower it completely and hold for 3-5 seconds. This completes the initialization. Each window must be operated individually, and it's more convenient to operate the passenger window from the passenger seat. I once helped a friend with this and found that if the window seals are aged and create resistance, the system might fail to reset. In such cases, it's necessary to clean the tracks first before activation. Operating the feature during high temperatures in summer after sun exposure is more stable, as the plastic components become more flexible and less prone to sticking.

My experience is to first lower the window all the way down, then hold the window-up button until it's fully closed, release it, and immediately press it again for two seconds. Next, lower the window all the way down again and hold the window-down button for five seconds. The entire process must be done with the engine running, otherwise, unstable voltage may cause failure. Once at a 4S shop, I saw a technician perform a more standardized procedure—they would also disconnect the negative battery terminal for three minutes to completely reset the system. After activation, remember to test: a light tap on the switch should trigger automatic window movement, while pressing hard should do nothing, which indicates success. Most failures of this function occur because the memory module gets loosened on bumpy roads or due to signal interference from modified wiring. Reactivation usually resolves the issue.
