How should company vehicles apply for ETC?

The required materials for company vehicles to apply for ETC are as follows: A letter of introduction from the vehicle owner (with official seal). A copy of the organization code certificate or business license (with official seal). The original ID card of the agent. The original vehicle license. The vehicle that needs to apply for ETC. If the company's contracted vehicle is an operating vehicle, a separate margin account still needs to be opened, and an ETC business margin pledge contract must be signed with China Construction Bank. The margin standard is the same as that for Class I and Class II vehicles. If multiple vehicles need to be contracted, the margin can be deposited by vehicle under the same margin account. If the company's legal representative handles the application personally, a written application with the company's official seal and the original and copy of the legal representative's valid ID card should be provided. If it is not handled by the legal representative but by an authorized person, a written application with the company's official seal, the legal representative's valid ID card, the legal representative's written authorization letter, and the agent's valid ID card and copy should be provided. If a company applies for ETC and contracts multiple vehicles under the same account, except for the vehicle licenses which need to correspond one by one, other documents can share a set. Before applying for a company ETC card, we need to prepare some materials for bank review. Since free ETC card installations are now mainly led by major banks, and ETC devices are provided by banks for free to attract customers, it is necessary to provide the front and back of the ID card, the original and copy of the vehicle license, a phone number, and bank card verification. However, one thing to note is that the ID card and bank card must belong to the same person, and the phone number must be the reserved phone number of the bank card. Since the vehicle is registered under the company name, this does not affect the application for the ETC card. Next, we take Bank of Communications as an example, where the person and vehicle do not need to be the same. Company vehicles nationwide can apply for ETC cards, and one person can apply for ETC cards for up to three company vehicles.
I've handled ETC applications for our company several times, and the process has been quite smooth. First, you need to prepare copies of the company's business license, the legal representative's ID card, vehicle registration certificates, and the company seal. Corporate vehicles usually require linking to a corporate bank account as the payment channel, so it's best to coordinate with the finance department beforehand to confirm account details. Then, take all the documents to a nearby ETC service outlet, such as those located at banks or near highway toll stations. When filling out the forms, carefully verify each vehicle's information to avoid missing or incorrectly entering key details like vehicle brand or license plate number. The entire process typically takes about 1-2 hours, and they'll install the OBU device on the windshield on the spot. After completion, remind drivers to regularly clean the device to prevent dust buildup from affecting signal reading, and reconcile the company's ETC bills monthly to ensure accurate charges. This way, the company fleet can save significant time and toll fees on highways.
