How Often Should You Replace the Motorcycle Air Filter?

Generally, underbone and cross motorcycles' air filters don't get dirty easily and should be cleaned or washed approximately every 10,000 kilometers. Scooter air filters, however, are prone to dust accumulation and should be inspected and cleaned every 2,000 kilometers. The types and cleaning methods of air filters are as follows: Types of Air Filters: Air filters can be divided into several types: filtration type, centrifugal type, oil bath type, and composite type. The commonly used air filters in engines mainly include inertial oil bath air filters, paper dry-type air filters, and polyurethane filter element air filters. Cleaning Methods: Owners can use an air gun for cleaning. If unavailable, a hairdryer can be used as a substitute. Since the filter element has good filtration capacity, start by blowing air from the intake side first, then blow from the opposite side of the intake direction, and finally dust off the surface with your hands. Remember not to rinse the filter element with water, as this will render it unusable.
