How Often Should Tire Rotation Be Performed?

Tire rotation does not have a fixed interval, but for safety reasons, it is recommended to perform it every 20,000 kilometers. Below are the requirements for tire rotation: 1. For unidirectional tread tires, avoid X-pattern cross rotation and instead use the H-pattern rotation method. 2. During rotation, new tires should be placed on the drive wheels. If the tread depth is less than 1.6mm, replace the tires and perform a wheel alignment instead of rotating to extend their lifespan. 3. The tires being rotated must be of the same size, specification, and tread pattern. Below are the precautions after tire rotation: 1. Rotated tires must undergo dynamic balancing before installation. Dynamic balancing eliminates tire bounce, which is crucial at high speeds; otherwise, it may lead to abnormal wear, shaking, or instability. 2. After rotation, it is advisable to perform a wheel alignment to adjust the toe-in and camber angles of the front and rear wheels.
