I've been driving the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV for almost a year now. According to the manual, it requires maintenance every 10,000 kilometers or every six months. The first free maintenance was done at 5,000 kilometers, mainly checking the chassis, brakes, and tires. Remember to ask the technician to pay special attention to the battery coolant level and the three-electric system data during maintenance. The air filter in this little car gets dirty very easily, so I replace it directly every time I go for maintenance. Don't be fooled by the 4S shop into doing maintenance ahead of schedule, but do change the tires when needed. The original tires need attention to tread depth at around 40,000 kilometers.

What are the effects of improper wheel balancing?

The effects of improper wheel balancing include: 1. The tires may rhythmically bounce while driving, causing steering wheel vibration; 2. Vehicle resonance may occur within certain speed ranges; 3. It can lead to uneven tire wear, affecting tire lifespan and driving safety; 4. It may damage suspension components and wheel bearings. The principle of wheel balancing is to determine the location and magnitude of imbalance in rotating components and identify where counterweights should be added. The functions of wheel balancing are: 1. Enhancing driving comfort; 2. Extending tire service life; 3. Ensuring straight-line stability; 4. Reducing wear on chassis suspension components.

What Causes the Steering Wheel to Shake on Rough Roads?

The reason for the steering wheel shaking on rough roads is that the uneven road surface reacts on the tires, which, after passing through a series of steering mechanisms such as the wheel hub, steering axle, steering linkage, power assist mechanism, and steering column, causes the steering wheel to rotate or shake slightly. The function of the steering wheel is to convert the force applied by the driver to the edge of the steering wheel into torque and transmit it to the steering axle. Precautions for using the steering wheel include: 1. Do not turn the steering wheel too forcefully or make sudden movements; avoid turning the steering wheel when the vehicle is stationary. 2. When driving on bumpy roads, hold the steering wheel firmly with both hands to prevent loss of control and potential accidents. 3. Reduce speed when turning. 4. When entering a curve, turn the steering wheel slowly according to the curvature of the curve.
