How often should the transmission fluid be changed in the Envision?

The transmission fluid in the Envision should be changed every 80,000 kilometers. Transmission fluid plays a crucial role in cooling, lubricating, and transmitting power within the transmission. Many transmission shift control mechanisms rely on transmission fluid to function properly. If the transmission fluid is not changed for an extended period, it can lead to malfunctions in the shift control mechanism. The Envision 20T models are all front-wheel drive, equipped with a 1.5T inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivering a maximum power of 124 kW, 169 horsepower, and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. The 28T models feature an all-wheel-drive system, powered by a 2.0T inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, matched with a 9-speed automatic transmission, producing a maximum power of 191 kW, 260 horsepower, and a maximum torque of 400 Nm.

I've been driving the Enclave for about five or six years, and the transmission fluid replacement cycle is generally between 60,000 to 80,000 kilometers, depending on your driving habits. If you frequently encounter city traffic congestion, drive on mountain roads, or haul heavy loads, it's better to change it earlier, say around 50,000 kilometers. Old transmission fluid deteriorates, loses its lubricating properties, and can cause gear wear, leading to repairs costing thousands or even tens of thousands of yuan. Last time, I changed it at 65,000 kilometers at the 4S shop, and the mechanic said the fluid had darkened, which is a warning sign. I recommend keeping a habit of recording mileage or following the vehicle manual, which usually suggests changing every 60,000 kilometers or every four years. Don’t delay too long, or you might end up with a breakdown and engine stalling, which is a huge hassle.

How to Adjust the Rearview Camera?

We only need to turn on the vehicle's ignition switch, shift into reverse gear, and then go to the location where the rearview camera is installed at the rear of the vehicle. Generally, it is installed at the position of the license plate light on the trunk lid, or sometimes under the rear bumper. You can see that the rearview camera is lit, indicating it is working properly. The rearview camera should be installed with the center of the vehicle's width as the reference point to ensure a more comprehensive rear view.

How to Deal with Scratches from Tree Branches on a Car

First, clean the scratched area of the car body with dish soap. It's fine to use dish soap for car washing—don't listen to claims that it damages the paint, as this is simply not true. Apply Turtle Wax Scratch & Swirl Remover lightly over the scratched area, covering it in a straight line. Use the included polishing sponge to apply the scratch wax to the scratched area in a 360-degree circular motion, ensuring even coverage. It's best to follow up with polishing wax, using a method similar to the third step of applying scratch wax. Find a soft, dry towel and polish the waxed area once more with the towel.

How to judge the distance behind when reversing?

When the vehicle enters the parking space and the body position is adjusted, we can find the most accurate point to stop after entering the parking space by observing the position of the lower edge of the left rearview mirror and the boundary line. When reversing with the steering wheel straightened, sitting in the driver's seat and observing the left rearview mirror and the boundary line, you can see the distance between them continuously decreasing. When the rearview mirror just blocks the boundary line, immediately press the clutch and brake to stop. That is to say, the most accurate point to stop after entering the parking space is the moment when the left rearview mirror just covers the boundary line. When the edge of the front of the car coincides with the lower edge of the tire of the car in front, the distance from the car in front is approximately 5 meters.

How to Inspect Overweight Vehicles?

Truck annual inspection overweight, the reason may be due to self-installed guardrails, excessive heavy cargo inside the vehicle, etc. All items inside the truck must be emptied, such as toolboxes, tires, etc. These items can reduce weight, and other heavy cargo inside the vehicle should be carefully checked. During the inspection, these self-installed facilities must be removed. If there are reinforcement facilities like keels or wooden boards in the cargo box, they should also be taken off. If necessary, spare tires, spare tire mounting brackets, and toolboxes, along with other accessories that affect the vehicle's total weight, should also be removed.

Novice driver doesn't know how to steer when reversing?

Drive the car forward until it is roughly aligned with the front car in the parking space, with a horizontal distance of about one meter between the two cars. Adjust the angle of the right rearview mirror downward until you can see the right wheel. After the vehicle starts moving, immediately shift your gaze from the right rearview mirror to the left rearview mirror, paying attention to oncoming traffic and obstacles on the left side. Slowly reverse while turning the steering wheel to the maximum. Observe the distance between the right rear wheel and the curb. When you feel it's appropriate, turn the steering wheel fully to the left and try to get the car as close to the curb as possible, while maintaining enough distance to straighten the car body.

How to Deal with Water in the Exhaust Pipe?

If you encounter water in the exhaust pipe and the engine stalls, do not attempt to force a restart. Instead, call for roadside assistance immediately. After a simple cleaning and drying process, the engine will resume normal operation. Insurance claims are usually straightforward in such cases. Drive fast on sand, but slow through water. When driving at high speed, the waves created by the tires can easily enter the exhaust pipe, causing the vehicle to stall. If water enters the exhaust pipe, remove the accumulated water as soon as possible to prevent impurities in the water from clogging the catalytic converter or damaging the oxygen sensor.
