How Often Should the Oil in a Dual-Clutch Transmission Be Replaced?
1 Answers
Dual-clutch transmission oil needs to be replaced every 60,000 kilometers. Most dual-clutch transmissions use two types of oil: gear oil and transmission oil. Both types of oil generally need to be replaced together during maintenance. The structure of a dual-clutch transmission is similar to that of a manual transmission, with the only difference being the addition of an extra clutch and a shift control mechanism. There are two types of dual-clutch transmissions: dry and wet. In a dry dual-clutch transmission, the clutch plates are not submerged in transmission oil, whereas in a wet dual-clutch transmission, the clutch plates are submerged in transmission oil.
