How Often Should Sedans Undergo Inspection?

After the implementation of the new vehicle inspection regulations, sedans aged between 6 and 10 years must undergo inspection every 2 years. Specifically, vehicles are required to go through the inspection line at the 6th and 8th year marks. For private vehicles older than 10 years, the original inspection cycle still applies: vehicles aged between 10 and 15 years must be inspected once a year, while those over 15 years old require inspection every 6 months. Below is the process for vehicle inspection: 1. Exterior Inspection: The first step is the exterior inspection. Place the triangular warning sign on the roof, then sit in the car and turn on all the lights, step on the brake, and confirm everything is in order. After taking photos and signing, you can pass this step. 2. Emission Test: A tube is connected to the exhaust pipe, and the vehicle is driven to the specified speed. A tail gas analyzer is used to check if the emissions meet the standards. 3. Chassis, Brake, and Light Inspection: The brake inspection checks the effectiveness of the braking system and ensures balanced braking on both sides. The light inspection checks the height and intensity of the high beam. 4. Payment and Documentation: After paying the fee and waiting for the inspection report to be printed, submit the documents to the counter staff for review. If everything is in order, the inspection sticker is usually issued on the spot.
