How often should CVT fluid be changed?

CVT fluid should be changed every 2 years. For transmission fluid replacement, you can use either the gravity drain method or the machine flush method. Before changing the fluid, it's necessary to completely drain the old fluid from the vehicle. The gravity drain method involves unscrewing the drain plug at the bottom, allowing the old fluid to flow out under gravity. However, due to the internal structure of the transmission, the old fluid often cannot be completely drained. It's important to note that you should use the manufacturer-specified CVT transmission fluid. Different transmissions have varying internal structures, friction components, and sealing components. The original factory fluid is specially formulated based on the transmission's structure and materials. Even if other types of fluids are of high quality, they may not be suitable.
