How Often Should Brake Fluid Be Replaced in a Sedan

Typically, the replacement interval for brake fluid is every 2 years or 50,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. The process of replacing brake fluid is as follows: 1. Start the engine and keep it idling, then unscrew the cap of the brake fluid reservoir. 2. Attach a transparent plastic tube to the bleeder screw of the wheel cylinder, with the other end of the tube placed into a container filled with brake fluid. 3. Loosen the bleeder valve and continuously press the brake pedal until no more brake fluid flows out, then tighten the bleeder valve. 4. Add an adequate amount of the specified brake fluid to the reservoir. Precautions for brake fluid replacement: 1. Air entering the brake system can affect braking performance. 2. Especially after replacing or topping up brake fluid, air in the hydraulic lines should be bled out. 3. During maintenance, if air enters the system due to disassembly of the hydraulic system, loose connections, or insufficient brake fluid, it should be promptly bled from the system.
