Motorcycles must undergo a safety inspection every 2 years within the first 4 years of registration; for vehicles older than 4 years, an annual inspection is required. According to Article 16 of the "Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China," motor vehicles must undergo safety technical inspections within the following periods from the date of registration: 1. Passenger vehicles for commercial use must be inspected annually within the first 5 years; after 5 years, every 6 months. 2. Trucks and large or medium-sized non-commercial passenger vehicles must be inspected annually within the first 10 years; after 10 years, every 6 months. 3. Small and mini non-commercial passenger vehicles must be inspected every 2 years within the first 6 years; after 6 years, annually; after 15 years, every 6 months. 4. Motorcycles must be inspected every 2 years within the first 4 years; after 4 years, annually. 5. Tractors and other motor vehicles must be inspected annually.
