A newly obtained motorcycle driver's license should be reviewed after 6 years. If no demerit points have accumulated to 12 points within these 6 years, a motor vehicle driver's license valid for 12 years can be issued. According to Article 56 of the 'Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driver's Licenses,' if a motor vehicle driver has not accumulated 12 demerit points in any scoring cycle during the six-year validity period of the motor vehicle driver's license, the license can be renewed with a validity period of ten years. If the driver has not accumulated 12 demerit points in any scoring cycle during the ten-year validity period, the license can be renewed with a long-term validity. Article 59 of the 'Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driver's Licenses' states that individuals aged 60 or above are not permitted to drive large passenger vehicles, tractors, city buses, medium-sized passenger vehicles, large trucks, trolleybuses, or trams. Those holding a driver's license for large passenger vehicles, tractors, city buses, medium-sized passenger vehicles, or large trucks must apply at the vehicle management office where the license was issued or another vehicle management office to exchange it for a motor vehicle driver's license that permits driving small cars or small automatic transmission cars.
