How Often Should a New Family Car Undergo Annual Inspection?
1 Answers
New vehicles have different annual inspection requirements based on their type. For ordinary family cars, the new vehicle must undergo an inspection every two years. The annual inspection policy for private cars is as follows: Inspection Schedule and Applicable Vehicle Types: For vehicles under 10 years old: exempt from inspection for the first 6 years, with mandatory on-site inspections required in the 6th, 8th, and 10th years. Vehicles aged 10-15 years must undergo one inspection annually, while those over 15 years old require inspections every six months. In addition to the existing exemption for non-commercial mini and small passenger vehicles with 6 or fewer seats within 6 years, the exemption now also covers non-commercial mini and small passenger vehicles with 7 to 9 seats (excluding vans). Exceptions to This Policy: New vehicles involved in fatal traffic accidents or illegally modified and penalized by law within 6 years, as well as vehicles not registered for over 4 years, are not eligible for this policy.
