How Often Should a Motorcycle Be Ridden?

Motorcycles should be ridden at least once a month. If left unused for too long, the engine oil will gradually settle into the oil pan, leaving components such as the cylinder head, piston, middle cylinder, and valve train exposed to air without lubrication. Over time, these parts will oxidize. Both gasoline and air contain trace amounts of moisture, which can slowly react with metal surfaces, causing oxidation. Therefore, it is essential to periodically start and run the motorcycle. Motorcycles are two- or three-wheeled vehicles powered by gasoline engines and steered via handlebars. They are lightweight, agile, and fast, making them widely used for patrols, passenger and cargo transport, as well as for sports equipment. A motorcycle consists of five main components: the engine, transmission system, running gear, braking system, and electrical instrumentation.
