According to the "Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China", non-operational 7-seater vehicles are exempt from inspection within the first six years. From six to ten years, they need to be inspected every two years. Vehicles over ten years old require an annual inspection, and those over fifteen years old need to be inspected every six months. For operational 7-seater vehicles, inspections are required once a year within the first five years, and every six months after five years. The documents required for vehicle inspection include the vehicle's registration certificate, valid compulsory insurance policy, the owner's ID card, and all traffic violation records must be cleared in advance. Other supplements: For trucks and large or medium-sized non-operational passenger vehicles, inspections are required once a year within the first ten years, and every six months after ten years. Motorcycles require inspection every two years within the first four years, and annually after four years. According to the "Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China", the main items included in vehicle inspections are: Appearance inspection: The main checks are vehicle lights, body appearance, suspension, sunroof, and tires. It checks if the lights are functioning properly, if there are any non-working lights, if the body color has been changed, and if the suspension has been modified. Emission test: It checks whether the vehicle's tailpipe emissions meet national standards during high-speed operation. Online inspection: This mainly involves checking the vehicle's braking system, headlights, horn, and chassis. Violation check: Before the vehicle inspection, all traffic violation records must be cleared to pass the inspection. Vehicle inspections can be conducted up to 90 days in advance but must not be overdue. According to the "Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China", the consequences of overdue inspections are as follows: Vehicles that fail to undergo inspection on time are not allowed on the road; driving an overdue vehicle results in a 3-point penalty and a 200 RMB fine; if an uninspected vehicle is involved in a traffic accident, the driver bears full or primary responsibility, and insurance companies will not cover the damages; driving an overdue vehicle is considered illegal and may result in the vehicle being impounded.

The annual inspection frequency for seven-seater vehicles is indeed different from that of five-seater cars. I just had my family's 7-seat SUV inspected recently and specifically researched the new policies. For non-commercial small or micro seven-seater vehicles, such as family MPVs or SUVs, the regulations for the first 10 years are as follows: within the first 6 years, you need to collect an inspection sticker from the vehicle management office every 2 years (no on-site inspection required). However, on the 6th, 8th, and 10th years, an on-site inspection is mandatory. Remember, even though the 2nd and 4th years don't require an on-site inspection, you still need to apply for the electronic inspection sticker promptly. After 10 years, you must take the vehicle for an annual inspection at the testing station. For the first two years after purchasing a new car, nothing needs to be done, which is quite hassle-free.

How Many Years Can a China VI Vehicle Be Driven?

Currently, there are no regulations specifying how many years a China VI vehicle can be driven. The implementation of the China VI standard may affect China III vehicles, which could face mandatory scrapping: China III vehicles may be subject to compulsory retirement, and many regions have already begun restricting their use. China II vehicles have already been completely phased out through mandatory scrapping. After the formal implementation of the 'China VI' standard, China III vehicles are expected to follow the same path as China II vehicles, heading toward retirement. Below is an introduction to the China VI standard: 1. China VI Standard: The China VI vehicle emission standard is the abbreviation for the sixth stage of national motor vehicle pollutant emission standards. It is formulated to implement the 'Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China' and the 'Air Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China,' aiming to prevent pollution from the exhaust of compression-ignition and gas-fueled ignition engine vehicles, protect the ecological environment, and safeguard human health. 2. Standard Composition: The standard consists of two parts: 'Limits and Measurement Methods for Emissions from Light-Duty Vehicles (China VI)' and 'Limits and Measurement Methods for Emissions from Heavy-Duty Diesel Vehicles (China VI).'

Is it better to use fully synthetic or semi-synthetic engine oil?

It is better to use fully synthetic engine oil. Fully synthetic oil has a wider operating temperature range and can protect the engine with lower viscosity under the same working conditions, while semi-synthetic oil has relatively higher usage requirements. Fully synthetic oil can be used under various harsh and severe conditions, with excellent performance in both high and low temperatures. Below is an introduction to both types: 1. Semi-synthetic engine oil is made from semi-synthetic base oil, which is a product purified from mineral oil through hydrocracking technology. It is a mixture of mineral oil and fully synthetic oil in a 4:6 ratio. The purity of semi-synthetic oil is very close to that of fully synthetic oil, but its cost is slightly higher than that of mineral oil. 2. Fully synthetic engine oil is a high-grade oil product derived from ethylene and propylene dispersed from natural gas or gas in crude oil, which undergoes complex chemical reactions such as polymerization and catalysis to form a lubricating fluid composed of large molecules.

What does DPF mean for diesel vehicles?

Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), also known as Diesel Particulate Trap Regenerator, is designed to reduce particulate matter (PM) emissions in exhaust gases. When the indicator light illuminates, it signifies that carbon particles generated from diesel combustion are being intercepted and temporarily stored by this device, which may lead to DPF clogging and the activation of the warning light. A clogged DPF does not require replacement; instead, performing a DPF regeneration process to remove accumulated particles is sufficient. Additional Information: 1. Manual Regeneration: Due to inconsistent fuel quality in domestic markets and complex vehicle operating conditions, DPF clogging may involve not only carbon soot but also significant oil contamination. In some cases, automatic regeneration may not resolve DPF issues in China VI-compliant diesel vehicles, necessitating manual regeneration by heating the DPF substrate at high temperatures. 2. Fault Handling: Drive the vehicle at speeds below 80 km/h. When the issue arises, promptly move the vehicle off the road, away from flammable and explosive materials. Once the vehicle is stationary, shift to neutral, engage the parking brake, and press the DPF control button. The yellow indicator light will remain steadily lit during the process, which typically takes 15-30 minutes. Upon completion of particulate matter treatment, the indicator light will automatically turn off.

What grade of gasoline does the Jetta VS5 use?

Jetta VS5 should use 95-octane gasoline, as this is the recommended fuel grade specified in the vehicle's official user manual. In addition to checking the appropriate gasoline grade in the user manual, you can also find it indicated on the fuel tank cap of the Jetta VS5. Typically, the gasoline grade can also be determined based on the engine's compression ratio. Vehicles with an engine compression ratio between 8.6-9.9 should use 92-octane gasoline, while those with a compression ratio between 10.0-11.5 should use 95-octane gasoline. If the compression ratio is higher, 98-octane gasoline is recommended. However, with the application of new technologies, the compression ratio alone cannot determine the appropriate gasoline grade, as high-compression engines can also be tuned to use lower-octane fuel. Other factors, such as ignition timing, turbocharging technology, and Atkinson cycle technology, also play a role. Generally, the higher the gasoline grade, the higher the octane number and the better the anti-knock performance. 92-octane gasoline contains 92% isooctane and 8% n-heptane, while 95-octane gasoline contains 95% isooctane and 5% n-heptane. If the Jetta VS5 occasionally uses the wrong gasoline grade, simply switch back to the correct grade after the current tank is used up. However, prolonged use of the wrong gasoline grade can have the following effects: Using a higher-octane gasoline in a vehicle designed for lower-octane fuel will not cause damage, but the increased octane number may alter the fuel's ignition point, leading to delayed combustion in the engine. This reduces the engine's power output and thermal efficiency, resulting in poorer performance. Using a lower-octane gasoline in a vehicle designed for higher-octane fuel can cause engine knocking. The significantly lower octane number reduces the fuel's ignition point, causing premature ignition during the compression stroke. If combustion occurs before the spark plug fires, resistance is created during the upward stroke. This resistance makes the engine run very unstably. Mild knocking may only increase noise without significant engine damage, but severe knocking indicates serious engine conditions. The vibration not only affects driving stability but can also cause abnormal wear on pistons and cylinders, potentially leading to cylinder scoring in severe cases.

What engine is used in the Hanteng X5 car?

The engine used in the Hanteng X5 car is produced by Jiangxi Tengle Power Co., Ltd., which is a domestic engine. The engine model of the Hanteng X5 car is TLE4G15D, with a maximum power of 115kW, maximum torque of 215Nm, and maximum horsepower of 156Ps. For the daily maintenance of the Hanteng X5 car's engine, the following methods can be used: Use lubricating oil of appropriate quality grade. For gasoline engines, SD--SF grade gasoline engine oil should be selected based on the additional devices of the intake and exhaust systems and usage conditions; for diesel engines, CB--CD grade diesel engine oil should be selected according to mechanical load, with the selection standard not lower than the manufacturer's specified requirements. Regularly change the oil and oil filter. The quality of any grade of lubricating oil will change during use. After a certain mileage, its performance deteriorates, which can cause various problems for the engine. To avoid malfunctions, the oil should be changed regularly based on usage conditions, and the oil level should be kept moderate. When oil passes through the fine pores of the filter, solid particles and viscous substances in the oil accumulate in the filter. If the filter is clogged and the oil cannot pass through the filter element, it may burst the filter element or open the safety valve, allowing oil to bypass through the bypass valve, bringing contaminants back to the lubrication area, accelerating engine wear and increasing internal pollution. Regularly clean the crankcase. During engine operation, high-pressure unburned gases, acids, moisture, sulfur, and nitrogen oxides from the combustion chamber enter the crankcase through the gap between the piston rings and cylinder walls, mixing with metal powder from component wear to form sludge. When the amount is small, it remains suspended in the oil; when large, it precipitates from the oil, clogging the filter and oil holes, making engine lubrication difficult and causing wear. Regularly use a radiator cleaner to clean the radiator. Removing rust and scale not only ensures the engine operates normally but also extends the overall lifespan of the radiator and engine.

Where is the most suitable place to apply for ETC?

ETC can be applied for at bank branches, online outlets, or highway service areas. Applicants need to provide the original and photocopies of the vehicle owner's valid ID card and vehicle license. If the application is processed by a proxy, the proxy's valid ID card is also required. The photocopy of the vehicle license should include the page with the most recent annual inspection stamp. Additionally, a bank debit or credit card application form is needed to bind the ETC card. After obtaining the card, the ETC on-board device can be installed for free at designated bank branches without any charges. Applicants must be between 18 and 60 years old and own a vehicle in their name. Documents required for company vehicles: An introduction letter from the vehicle owner (with official seal); photocopy of the organization code certificate or business license (with official seal); original ID card of the proxy; original vehicle license; the vehicle for which ETC is to be applied. Online application is also available: To facilitate vehicle owners, various banks have launched online ETC application services, allowing applications to be processed without leaving home. Here are some precautions for ETC installation: Avoid obstructing the driver's view. It is best to install it behind the rearview mirror: Many car models have a steeply inclined windshield, which can reduce the driver's field of vision. Installing the ETC without considering this can increase blind spots. Installing it behind the rearview mirror on the right side can avoid blocking the view. Do not interfere with charging: The ETC electronic tag consumes power but generally does not require charging or battery replacement, as it has a solar panel on the back for self-charging. Therefore, avoid installing it on the blackened areas of the windshield or positions that might block the solar panel. Do not remove it arbitrarily once installed: The button in the middle of the adhesive is an anti-removal lever connected to a switch. Once installed, the windshield presses the lever in. If removed, the lever pops out, triggering the switch and locking the electronic tag, rendering it unusable. Unlocking requires visiting an ETC service point. This mechanism prevents multiple vehicles from sharing one device.
