How often are commercial passenger vehicles inspected?

5 years or less: inspected once annually; over 5 years: inspected every 6 months. Below are relevant regulations: Article 16 of the "Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China": 1. Commercial passenger vehicles within 5 years shall be inspected once annually; those over 5 years shall be inspected every 6 months; 2. Trucks and large/medium-sized non-commercial passenger vehicles within 10 years shall be inspected once annually; those over 10 years shall be inspected every 6 months; 3. Small/mini non-commercial passenger vehicles within 6 years shall be inspected every 2 years; those over 6 years shall be inspected annually; those over 15 years shall be inspected every 6 months; 4. Motorcycles within 4 years shall be inspected every 2 years; those over 4 years shall be inspected annually; 5. Tractors and other motor vehicles shall be inspected annually. Commercial motor vehicles that pass safety inspections within the prescribed period shall not undergo repeated safety inspections.
