Section speed monitoring does not allow exceeding the prescribed speed limit by more than 10%. The following are the penalties for section speed violations: 1. A warning will be issued for speeding less than 10% on highways or national highways, with no points deducted or fines imposed, and no need to visit the vehicle management office; 2. If the speeding is between 10% and 20%, 3 points will be deducted and a fine imposed; 3. If the speeding is between 20% and 50%, 6 points will be deducted and a fine imposed; 4. If the speeding exceeds 50%, 12 points will be deducted at once, a fine will be imposed, and the driver's license may be revoked, with the fine amount gradually increasing as the speeding increases; 5. If the speeding exceeds the prescribed speed limit by 70%, a fine will be imposed, 12 points will be deducted, and the driver's license may be revoked.
