How Much Engine Oil Should Be Added to a Sedan?

Engine oil should generally be filled to the midpoint between the upper and lower marks on the dipstick. During driving, due to bumps, there may be a risk of oil leakage, so it should not be overfilled. Consequences of overfilling engine oil: 1. Reduced power: If too much engine oil is added, it may enter the combustion chamber during driving, increasing carbon deposits in the combustion chamber, which raises piston movement resistance and reduces engine power. 2. Environmental non-compliance: Overfilling engine oil can worsen exhaust emissions, severely affecting the lifespan of the catalytic converter, and may also cause the vehicle to fail annual inspections.
