How much engine oil should be added to a BMW Mini 1.5t?

The BMW Mini 1.5t engine requires 4.5 liters of engine oil. Precautions: When adding engine oil, be sure to ensure that the oil level is between the min and max marks on the oil dipstick. The oil level should not be below the min mark or above the max mark, as this can affect the normal operation of the engine. Hazards of overfilling engine oil: If too much engine oil is added to a BMW, it increases the amount of oil splashed onto the cylinder walls by the rotating crankshaft and connecting rods. This significantly increases the amount of oil entering the combustion chamber, leading to more carbon deposits in the combustion chamber, increased resistance to piston movement, and reduced engine power. Additionally, the increased amount of oil entering the combustion chamber worsens exhaust emissions, affects the lifespan of the catalytic converter, and in severe cases, may damage the catalytic converter.
I've been driving a MINI 1.5T for three years. The maintenance manual clearly states to add 4.6 liters of oil, but there's a trick to the actual operation. The 4S shop guy taught me to pour in 4.3 liters first, start the engine and let it run for two minutes to circulate the oil, then turn it off and check the dipstick. At this point, it usually needs to be topped up to the upper limit mark, consuming exactly 4.6 liters. Remember to choose a fully synthetic 0W-30 or 5W-30 oil with BMW Longlife-04 certification. Once, I used a substitute oil, which caused the start-stop system to report an error. Don't exceed the oil change interval of 10,000 kilometers. This engine has a grille design in the oil pan, which causes the oil to degrade faster.
