How much engine oil should be added to a BMW 730 3.0?

BMW 730 requires 6.5 liters of engine oil. Generally, car engines have an oil dipstick, and the oil should be filled between the maximum and minimum marks. Function of engine oil: Engine oil is the lubricant used in engines. It consists of base oil and additives. Engine oil serves to lubricate and reduce friction, assist in cooling, seal against leaks, prevent rust and corrosion, and provide shock absorption. Excessive oil should be avoided: Adding too much oil (exceeding the upper limit on the dipstick) can have negative consequences. Excessive oil increases the rotational resistance of the crankshaft, reduces the engine's output power, and can cause the excess oil to enter the combustion chamber, leading to oil burning, blue smoke emissions, and increased fuel consumption. The residue from burned oil (mainly composed of carbon, which is very hard) can accumulate on the walls of the combustion chamber, reducing its space and thereby lowering the engine's compression ratio. Additionally, it can accelerate wear on the cylinders and pistons, reducing the vehicle's lifespan.
A few days ago, I helped my neighbor check the maintenance manual for his old 730. The 3.0T N52 engine requires 6.5 liters of oil for an oil change. However, the new B48 2.0T four-cylinder engine only needs 5.25 liters, so don't mix them up. Before adding oil, make sure the car is cold for at least half an hour and then check the electronic oil dipstick. BMW's electronic dipstick is hidden in the iDrive menu and can be hard to find—just fill it up to the max line. Last time, a repair shop added half a liter too much for my friend, which made the throttle feel sluggish and caused a spike in fuel consumption. It only got better after removing the excess oil.
