How Many Years Are Motorcycles Exempt from Inspection?
1 Answers
Starting from June 1, 2019, motorcycles nationwide are subject to a policy of nationwide inspection and exemption from inspection for 6 years. Below are the relevant details: Motorcycle Registration Location: For applicants seeking inspection in provinces (autonomous regions or municipalities) other than where the motorcycle is registered, the requirement for issuing and reviewing an out-of-region inspection authorization letter is abolished. For those who have already obtained such authorization letters but have not undergone inspection, the new regulations apply, and no further review or retention of the letter is required. For motorcycles exempt from inspection within 6 years, it is permitted to apply for inspection labels across provinces (autonomous regions or municipalities). Applicable Vehicle Types: For motorcycles exempt from inspection within 6 years, if more than 5 years have passed since the vehicle's manufacture date without registration or if the motorcycle has been involved in a traffic accident resulting in casualties, the original inspection regulations still apply within the 6-year period.
