How Many Wheels Should Snow Chains Be Installed On?

Snow chains should be installed on all four wheels. Mounting them on four tires provides relatively better stability. If only installed on two tires, the vehicle is prone to fishtailing, compromising driving safety. The installation method for snow chains is as follows: 1. Lift one side of the drive wheels with a jack, unfold the rubber snow chains and lay them flat under the wheel; 2. Bring both ends of the snow chain together above the wheel to wrap it around the tire; 3. Secure the inner side of the wheel with the snow chain hooks; 4. Pull the outer mesh of the snow chain outward by hand and attach it to the outer hooks; 5. Take out the rubber edge ropes and hook them onto both ends of the snow chain; 6. Install the thinner edge ropes diagonally to evenly distribute the tension of the rubber ropes; 7. Follow the same method to install medium and thicker edge ropes.
