How Many Times Can You Retake Subject 3?

Subject 3 can be retaken up to four times, with the total number of attempts not exceeding five. Each exam has two opportunities. If you fail the fifth scheduled driving test, all previously passed subjects will be invalidated. Subject 3 includes the Road Driving Skills Test and the Safe and Civilized Driving Knowledge Test, which are part of the motor vehicle driver's license assessment. The Road Driving Skills Test consists of 16 items: vehicle preparation, starting, straight-line driving, gear shifting operations, left turns at intersections, right turns at intersections, lane changes, passing through intersections, pulling over, crossing pedestrian crosswalks, passing school zones, passing bus stops, meeting oncoming vehicles, overtaking, making U-turns, and nighttime driving.
I remember failing the driving test (Subject 3) several times when getting my license, but retakes were always allowed as long as it was within the three-year validity period after registration. Specifically, there's no upper limit on attempts - each exam booking gives you two chances. After my first failure, I could immediately retry once; if both attempts failed, I had to reschedule. I'd recommend practicing parking and lane changes more – don't make nervous mistakes like I did initially. For fees, each retake costs around a hundred yuan in exam fees, but safety comes first; don't rush the test just to save money. Within the validity period, you'll eventually pass with enough effort. Don't worry about rigid attempt limits – the key is reviewing mistakes and improving skills.
