How many times can I retake the Subject 2 test?

Subject 2 can be retaken up to five times. If you still fail the fifth scheduled test, the passing scores of other subjects you have already passed will be invalidated, and you will need to start over from Subject 1. Each time you schedule a Subject 2 test, you have two attempts. If you fail the first attempt, you can retake it once for free. If you do not take the retest or still fail the retest, the current test session ends, and you can reschedule the Subject 2 test after ten days. The Subject 2 test for small cars (C1, C2) includes: reversing into a garage, parallel parking, stopping and starting on a slope, turning at a right angle, driving through an S-curve, and in some regions, a sixth item—highway toll card collection.
I also had to retake the Subject 2 driving test several times when getting my license. The rule is that you can retake it unlimited times within the validity period of the driving test, usually three years. After each failure, you have to wait a few days to reschedule and may need to pay a retake fee of around 100-200 yuan. I recommend practicing more, especially reversing into a bay and hill starts at the driving school's simulation field. Finding the right reference points makes it much easier. The first time I took the test, I was so nervous that my palms were sweaty and I failed. Later, I practiced for an hour every day after work and finally passed on the third attempt. Don’t complain about the cumulative cost—think of it as an investment in safe driving skills. The validity period is long enough, and failure is normal, so don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Many people pass only after two or three retakes. The key is to learn from mistakes. Review your errors with the instructor, and your chances of success will greatly improve next time. In short, don’t give up—there are plenty of opportunities.
