A driver's license can have up to 11 points deducted after the probationary period, but if 12 points are deducted, the license will be revoked. During the probationary period of a driver's license, no more than 6 points should be deducted; otherwise, the probationary period will be extended by one year. Below are the four subjects for obtaining a driver's license: 1. Subject 1: A written test on traffic regulations and related knowledge, with a full score of 100 points, and a passing score of 90 points or above (including 90 points). 2. Subject 2: On-site driving test, using an actual vehicle. The result is either pass or fail. It includes five mandatory test items: reversing into a parking space, parallel parking, stopping and starting on a slope, turning at a right angle, and driving on a curved path. All mandatory items must be passed to pass the Subject 2 test. 3. Subject 3: Road driving test on public roads or simulated environments, using an actual vehicle. The result is either pass or fail. The test is entirely monitored by electronic surveillance and traffic police, ensuring fairness in the road test. Since January 1, 2013, with the implementation of new traffic regulations, the test has added items such as the use of lights, left and right turns, and passing through pedestrian crossings. 4. Subject 4: An additional theoretical test on safe and civilized driving knowledge. The difference from Subject 1 is the inclusion of image analysis and judgment. The test consists of 50 questions, each worth 2 points. The full score is 100 points, with a passing score of 90 points or above.
