Riding in the trunk will result in a deduction of 3 points. According to Article 92, Paragraph 1, Clause 2 of the Road Traffic Safety Law, penalties are imposed for passenger vehicles carrying more than 20% of the rated passenger capacity. Article 92 of the Road Traffic Safety Law stipulates: Passenger vehicles exceeding the rated passenger capacity shall be fined; if the excess exceeds 20% or if goods are carried in violation of regulations, a fine shall be imposed. For small vehicles, Article 90 of the Road Traffic Safety Law states: If a motor vehicle driver violates road traffic safety laws or regulations regarding road usage, a warning or fine shall be imposed. For freight vehicles, Article 92 of the Road Traffic Safety Law specifies: Freight vehicles exceeding the approved load capacity shall be fined; if the excess exceeds 30% or passengers are carried in violation of regulations, a fine shall be imposed. Flammable and explosive items are prohibited. The interior of a vehicle is a relatively enclosed space, and after exposure to the sun in summer, the internal temperature can become very high. Storing flammable or explosive items in the trunk may lead to spontaneous combustion or explosion due to the high temperature. Extremely heavy items should be stored with caution. Many people use the trunk to carry heavy loads when traveling, thinking it’s convenient and saves effort. This is a misconception, as storing heavy items in the trunk affects the vehicle's overall load capacity. This can result in slower speeds due to the increased weight and a noticeable rise in fuel consumption. Additionally, during turns, if heavy items shift to one side, it can easily cause the vehicle to roll over.
