Below are the point deduction standards for vehicles driving against traffic: If a motor vehicle driver commits any of the following violations, they will be penalized with 12 points at once: Driving a motor vehicle in reverse, against traffic, or making a U-turn across the central divider on a highway. If a motor vehicle driver commits any of the following violations, they will be penalized with 3 points at once: Driving a motor vehicle without following the rules for overtaking or yielding, or driving against traffic. Penalties for driving against traffic as stipulated in Article 90 of the Road Traffic Safety Law: If a motor vehicle driver violates the road traffic safety laws and regulations regarding road traffic rules, they will be given a warning or fined between 20 and 200 yuan.
