How Many Points Are Deducted for Braking in Subject 2?

No points are deducted. In Subject 2, braking is required for the slope fixed-point parking and start, parallel parking, and reversing into a garage. Braking can also be used in other sections, and some students can pass the test by lightly applying the brake throughout Subject 2. However, it is important to avoid stopping midway, meaning the speed drops to zero. A pause of more than 2 seconds during the test will be judged as stopping midway, resulting in a 5-point deduction. If the engine stalls due to improper operation, a 10-point deduction will be applied. Below is additional information: Notes: Apart from using the brake pedal to control speed, the clutch can also be used to regulate speed. If students feel the speed is too fast to steer promptly or need a bit more reaction time, they can slightly depress the clutch to reduce power output, thereby achieving better speed control.
