How many minutes should a car generally warm up?

Generally, a car should warm up for about 30 seconds to one minute. After prolonged parking, the engine oil flows back into the oil pan at the lower part of the engine. Therefore, when the car hasn't been used for a while, such as overnight, the upper part of the engine is in a state without oil and lacks lubrication. It takes about 10 seconds after starting for the oil pump to circulate the oil to engine components that require lubrication, such as pistons, connecting rods, and crankshafts. Even if you start driving immediately after starting the engine, as long as you don't floor the accelerator for racing and maintain low-speed operation, the effect is the same as idling. Once the engine reaches normal operating temperature, the automatic choke will naturally return to its normal state due to mechanical action.
