How Many Liters of Engine Oil Should Be Added to a Bora?

The Bora requires approximately 4.5 liters of engine oil during an oil change. Its recommended oil specifications are SM grade or above 5W-40 oil, or oil that meets the VW50200 standard. The Bora is the first compact car independently designed by FAW-Volkswagen. In terms of dimensions, it measures 4663*1815*1462mm with a wheelbase of 2688mm. For powertrain options, this model offers three engine choices: a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, a 1.4L turbocharged engine, and a 1.2L turbocharged engine. Engine oil, also known as engine lubricant, serves multiple functions including lubrication and wear reduction, auxiliary cooling, sealing against leaks, rust and corrosion prevention, as well as shock absorption. When adding engine oil, it is crucial to ensure the oil level remains between the min and max marks on the dipstick. If the oil level exceeds the max mark, it will increase engine resistance during operation, negatively impacting power output and fuel consumption. Conversely, if the oil level falls below the min mark, insufficient lubrication may occur, potentially leading to abnormal engine wear.
