When changing the engine oil for the BMW 120i, approximately 3.8 liters of engine oil need to be added. Here is some information about BMW: 1. Introduction: BMW (abbreviation for Bayerische Motoren Werke) is a German automobile brand under the BMW Group. 2. Content: It has four model series: i, X, Z, and pure numeric models, as well as series like 1, 2, 3, and the M series (BMW's official high-performance modification division) based on improvements of these series. The BMW logo's B.M.W. stands for Bavarian Motor Works, and the colors and combination of the logo are derived from the coat of arms of Bavaria, where BMW is headquartered. 3. Development: On June 21, 2021, BMW ranked 71st in the 2021 Kantar BrandZ™ Most Valuable Global Brands list with a brand value of $24.821 billion.

I've been driving a BMW 120i for three years. During maintenance, the technician said this car's oil capacity is between 4.5 to 5.25 liters. Last oil change, I watched as the mechanic first added 4.8 liters, started the engine for two minutes then turned it off, waited ten minutes before checking the dipstick and found the oil level just reached the midpoint without further top-up. Different engine models have different requirements - mine with the B48 engine needs 5.25 liters, but since old oil can't be completely drained, slightly less is actually added. I recommend owners check their manual or the label near the oil filler cap which specifies the exact quantity. Overfilling may cause abnormal oil pressure damaging the engine, while insufficient oil leads to inadequate lubrication. Checking when the engine is cold on level ground gives the most accurate reading.

What is the difference between a relay and a contactor?

The essential difference between a relay and a contactor lies in the load they can handle. A contactor is designed for larger current capacities, while a relay is for smaller ones. Additionally, contactors are used in main circuits, whereas relays are employed in control circuits. Below is an introduction to the functions of relays and contactors: Functions of a contactor: Used to connect and disconnect larger current signals, driving power equipment such as motors. Functions of a relay: Used for signal conversion, serving as an interface for control signals between devices of different voltage levels. Its contacts generally have a smaller load capacity and are used to drive electrical components like contactors.

What should you do when entering a tunnel?

Pay attention to signs carefully and reduce speed for slow driving. 1. Turn on lights in advance and maintain distance before entering the tunnel: When approaching the tunnel, there will be signs reminding you to turn on your vehicle lights, but you must use low beams instead of high beams. Also maintain a driving distance of more than 100 meters to avoid accidents. 2. No lane changing or overtaking: Due to the dim lighting and narrow visibility range inside the tunnel, changing lanes or overtaking can easily lead to accidents. 3. Set air conditioning to internal circulation mode: The air inside tunnels is highly polluted, especially in longer tunnels where vehicle exhaust accumulates and cannot be discharged. Turning on internal circulation prevents polluted tunnel air from entering the vehicle.

Does the Levin have daytime running lights?

All currently available models of the Levin are equipped with daytime running lights. Here is the relevant information: 1. Function: Daytime running lights are warning lights, while fog lights (low color temperature, yellowish light, strong penetration) are for illumination. It is important to note that daytime running lights cannot replace fog lights. Fog lights are not only the primary lighting in foggy conditions but also provide auxiliary low-beam illumination during normal driving. 2. Performance: The yellower the light, the stronger its penetration; the whiter the light, the weaker its penetration. These two types of lights serve completely different purposes at opposite ends of the spectrum. Additionally, the light from daytime running lights is not direct but scattered, with limited illumination distance, making them ineffective in heavy fog and thus not a substitute.
