How many liters of brake fluid does the Rapid require?

Manual bleeding requires 1 liter; automatic fluid exchange machines require 3 liters. Brake fluid levels should always be maintained between the MAX and MIN marks on the reservoir. Reasons for replacing automotive brake fluid: Moisture or contaminants from air can enter through the reservoir vent, lowering the fluid's boiling point. Prolonged braking during extended drives may cause vapor lock in brake lines, resulting in reduced braking force or failure. Characteristics of automotive brake fluid: Low freezing point: maintains good fluidity in cold temperatures; extremely high boiling point; resists vapor lock under high temperatures; minimal quality deterioration; non-corrosive to metals and won't soften rubber components.
When changing the brake fluid for the Rapid, I measured that one liter is roughly enough. Make sure to buy the standard DOT4 fluid and don't underfill it. Previously, when I went to the repair shop, the technician told me the brake system needs proper filling—too little will make the brake pedal feel spongy, which is dangerous! During the process, first drain the old fluid, then slowly add the new one. The reservoir under the hood is pretty easy to find. The amount needed may vary slightly with the car's age, but one liter generally covers it, with some leftover for top-ups. It's recommended to change it every two years or every 40,000 km—long intervals can lead to moisture absorption, causing brake failure. Regularly check that the fluid is clear, which saves money and ensures safety. Don't forget to wear gloves—the fluid is highly corrosive.
