Generally, you can continue driving for more than 30 kilometers after the fuel light comes on. When the fuel level is low, significant lateral tilting can affect the fuel pump's operation. In addition to providing power to the vehicle, fuel also serves a cooling function. If the fuel pump operates without adequate cooling, there is a risk of overheating and damage. 2. Over time, a certain amount of impurities accumulate at the bottom of the fuel tank. When the vehicle is nearly out of fuel, the fuel pump will work harder to draw in fuel, potentially sucking some of these impurities into the engine, which can severely impact the internal components of the engine.
