How many kilometers can the Elysion pure electric version travel?

Elysion can travel 100 kilometers in the motor-driven mode. Pure electric vehicles are entirely powered by rechargeable batteries (such as lead-acid batteries, nickel-cadmium batteries, nickel-metal hydride batteries, or lithium-ion batteries). Their power systems mainly consist of power batteries and drive motors, obtaining electricity from the grid or by replacing the battery. Driving habits are the most critical factor affecting the power consumption of the vehicle's power system. It is closely related to throttle opening, discharge current, road conditions, and speed. Paying attention to the discharge current and maintaining a low and stable output will make the vehicle relatively more energy-efficient. For example, gently and lightly pressing the accelerator pedal, avoiding sudden braking, using ECO mode, and fully utilizing the vehicle's energy recovery function are recommended. Try to minimize the use of SPORT mode. Heavy use of electrical equipment and the comfort level of the air conditioning have a certain impact on the driving range. However, when customers use power-consuming devices, the total battery capacity and discharge capability remain unchanged. Therefore, it is advisable to understand the power consumption of discharge devices better and reduce the sole focus on driving range requirements. When the vehicle is driven with AC or heating turned on, the driving range will decrease. Typically, air conditioning power consumption accounts for 15% to 40% of the total battery capacity, depending on usage duration and air conditioning settings. PTC heating consumes more power than AC. Vehicle load, the number of passengers, or heavy cargo carried by the vehicle, as well as low tire pressure, will consume more power to overcome driving resistance, leading to increased power consumption during driving and reduced driving range.
The Elysian currently mainly offers hybrid versions in the domestic market, such as the 2022 2.0L hybrid model, which cannot rely solely on electricity for long distances like pure electric vehicles. In pure electric mode, this vehicle can last at most about 1-2 kilometers because the hybrid system's battery capacity is very small, primarily designed to assist the engine in saving fuel. My neighbor bought the new model last year and mentioned that the pure electric mode is only useful for moving the car within the residential area—once you leave the neighborhood, the battery is depleted. If you're looking for a long-range pure electric MPV, domestic brands like the Denza D9 or Zeekr 009 can achieve over 500 kilometers, but the Elysian doesn’t have this option. Honda has no plans to launch a pure electric version of the Elysian for now, possibly due to concerns over the heavy MPV body placing too much pressure on the battery.
