How many kilometers can a car run after the fuel gauge lights up?

When the car fuel gauge lights up, it can still run for 40 kilometers. The fuel warning light indicates that the fuel level is below the fuel pump. The fuel gauge is usually located directly in front of the driver's position, on the same dashboard as indicators for water temperature, RPM, speed, etc. Each gauge is distinguished by a simple icon. The fuel system mainly consists of four parts: the fuel gauge, sensor circuit, variable resistor, and float. When the fuel tank is full, the resistance value of the variable resistor connected to the float decreases, and the circuit current reaches its maximum. At this point, the fuel gauge needle is at its highest position. As the fuel level decreases, the resistance value of the variable resistor increases accordingly, reducing the circuit current and causing the fuel gauge needle to drop.
