Lynk & Co currently has two factories in China. Below is relevant information about Lynk & Co vehicles: The two factories are: The first factory is Volvo's Taizhou Luqiao Plant, where the Lynk & Co 01 is produced; the second is Zhangjiakou Plant, where Lynk & Co 02 and 03 are manufactured. Introduction to Lynk & Co: Lynk & Co is a premium brand jointly established by Geely Holding Group, Geely Auto Group, and Volvo Cars for the new era. It is built on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) mid-size car platform, co-developed by Geely Auto and Volvo Cars, with Volvo Cars taking the lead. The Taizhou Luqiao Plant is one of Volvo's three major vehicle manufacturing bases in China. The Lynk & Co 01 shares the same production facility with the Volvo XC40. The production standards for Lynk & Co 01, including parts procurement, technology, and production management, are all aligned with Volvo's.
I have paid special attention to Lynk & Co's production layout. They currently operate a total of five vehicle manufacturing bases in China. The earliest was the Zhangjiakou plant, responsible for popular models like the 01 and 03. The Yuyao facility is particularly impressive as it specializes in new energy vehicle production. The Chengdu factory serves the southwest market, manufacturing primarily the 02 and 06 models. The Meishan plant, which commenced operations in 2021, boasts advanced manufacturing technologies. Most surprisingly, the Chongqing factory just started operations this March with a focus on new energy vehicles, reportedly achieving an automation rate as high as 80%. This signals Lynk & Co's upcoming surge in hybrid vehicle production.
