How Many Chances Are There for Subject Two and Subject Three Exams?

For Subject Two and Subject Three, each appointment allows one attempt at the exam. If the exam is not passed, an immediate make-up exam is permitted. If the make-up exam is not taken or is still not passed, the current exam session ends, and the applicant must reschedule the exam after ten days. Within the validity period of the driving skill test permit, the number of appointments for Subject Two and Subject Three road driving skill tests must not exceed five. If the fifth appointment still results in failure, the scores of other previously passed subjects will be invalidated. Subject Two is scored out of 100 points, with evaluation criteria set for failing, deducting 20 points, deducting 10 points, and deducting 5 points. The exam is considered passed if the following conditions are met: ① For applicants of large passenger vehicles, trailers, city buses, medium-sized passenger vehicles, and large trucks, a score of 90 or above is required; ② For other vehicle types, a score of 80 or above is required. Subject Three is scored out of 100 points, with a passing score of 90. The exam generally includes: vehicle preparation, simulated lighting test, starting, driving straight, gear shifting operations, lane changing, pulling over, proceeding straight through intersections, turning left at intersections, turning right at intersections, crossing pedestrian crossings, passing school zones, passing bus stops, meeting oncoming vehicles, overtaking, making U-turns, and nighttime driving.
When it comes to the chances of getting a driver's license, I have deep feelings. For both the second and third subject tests, you get two attempts each time—the official test and an immediate retake. If you fail the official test, you can retake it once on the same day. But if you fail all five official attempts cumulatively, all your previous results become invalid, and you have to re-enroll and pay the fees at the driving school. I actually have a friend who passed the third subject test only on their fourth attempt, and the pressure was enormous. Honestly, five attempts might sound like a lot, but each failure wastes both time and money, so it's best to practice seriously and aim to pass early. If you really exhaust all five attempts, you'll have to start over from Subject One.
