How Many Bars on the Car Temperature Gauge Are Normal?

It is normal for a car's temperature gauge to show 4-5 bars. Judgment Measures: Most car engines operate normally at a coolant temperature between approximately 90-105 degrees Celsius. Check the minimum and maximum marks on your car's temperature gauge to determine whether the number of bars is normal. Note that on most car temperature gauges, there are English letters marked as C and H, or divided into white and red zones. C stands for cold, and H stands for hot. If the temperature gauge needle approaches the H mark or the red danger zone, and in severe cases, the coolant temperature warning light illuminates, it indicates that the engine coolant temperature is too high. Abnormal Causes: The main reasons for an excessively high temperature gauge reading include coolant leakage, insufficient coolant, a faulty circulation water pump, or a malfunctioning cooling fan. When the engine temperature is too high, the vehicle should not continue to be driven, as this can exacerbate wear on various components, leading to consequences such as hose rupture, radiator leakage, or cylinder scoring. In severe cases, it may even cause the engine to be scrapped.
