Turn on the heat lamp 3 minutes after spraying the clear coat, as the clear coat requires 5 minutes for leveling and settling, and the heat lamp needs 1-2 minutes for preheating. Once preheated, you can begin baking. Precautions for baking: Before spraying, connect the UV heat lamp power supply and position the lamp appropriately for the spraying area to facilitate operation. Wear specialized protective goggles or a face shield during baking. Start by baking the edges before moving to the center to improve efficiency. During the first round of baking, maintain a greater distance to prevent overly rapid drying, which can cause loss of gloss. Keep the heat lamp 20-25 cm away from the component and move it evenly without staying in one spot to avoid excessive temperature. Small areas can dry in 7-9 seconds. Sanding and polishing: After baking and drying, remove the masking paper. Use detailing sandpaper to sand the paint surface to a matte finish and remove dirt or runs. Lightly sand the transition areas. After sanding, use a high-speed polisher with specialized polishing compound for polishing. Start with a medium-coarse compound for initial polishing, then switch to a microcrystalline compound for fine polishing until achieving a full, glossy finish.
