How long should I wait to wipe off car wax?

Generally, you can wash and wipe the car once the wax has hardened. Before waxing, the car should be cleaned, and the wax typically lasts for about a month. During this period, the car is less likely to get dirty, so frequent washing isn't necessary. If you do wash it, be mindful not to wash too often, as excessive washing will wear off the wax faster. Benefits: Waxing your car provides waterproofing benefits. Since cars are often exposed to the elements—wind, sun, and rain—prolonged exposure can damage the paint. Wax also offers heat resistance, effectively maintaining the paint's shine and protecting it from UV rays, thereby extending the paint's lifespan. Drawbacks: Car wax uses petroleum as a solvent, making it prone to oxidation. Typically, oxidation begins about half a month after application and becomes more noticeable over time. After six months, when the wax or glaze has fully oxidized, it no longer provides any protective benefits to the paint.
