How Long Is the Validity Period for the Subject 1 Exam?

Subject 1 exam results are valid for three years. There is no limit to the number of attempts for the Subject 1 exam. Each exam session offers two chances, and if both attempts are failed, you will need to reschedule the exam. Subject 1 exam process: Follow the instructions of the staff and collect your driving training file in order at the waiting area; Bring and present your ID card for verification by the supervising officer; Mobile phones must be turned off when entering the exam area; No loud talking is allowed in the exam area; Regulation textbooks are not allowed in the exam area (or must be placed in your bag); After the exam, keep your ID card safe and submit the file to the "Document Submission Window" at the front of the exam room; Candidates who pass the exam should sign under the guidance of the staff at the exam exit before leaving; Candidates who fail the exam can leave the exam room and wait for notification from their driving school regarding the retake schedule.
I just signed up for driving lessons recently, feeling excited but a bit nervous. I asked my instructor how long the validity period is after passing Subject 1, and he told me that I need to complete Subject 2 and Subject 3 within three years. This put me at ease, as three years seems quite ample, allowing me to balance work and study without rushing. However, he advised not to delay too long, as unexpected events like busy work schedules or family matters could cause delays, leading to expiration and requiring a retake of Subject 1 from scratch, wasting both money and time. He suggested regularly reviewing test questions to keep knowledge fresh, promptly scheduling Subject 2 practice after passing, and planning weekly driving sessions to maintain steady progress without stress. In short, taking action early is better than regretting later.
