How long does it usually take to practice for Subject 2 before taking the test?

Subject 2 usually takes 12-22 days of practice. Introduction to Subject 2: Subject 2, also known as the small road test, is part of the motor vehicle driver's license assessment. It is the abbreviation for the field driving skills test. The test items for small cars C1 and C2 include five mandatory items: reversing into a garage, parallel parking, stopping and starting on a slope, turning at a right angle, and driving through curves (commonly known as S-turns). Some regions also have a sixth item: highway toll card collection. Exam rules for Subject 2: For Subject 2, if you fail the test on the first attempt, you can retake it once. If you do not take the retest or fail the retest, the current test session ends, and the applicant must reschedule the test after ten days. Within the validity period of the driving skills test permit, the number of test appointments for Subject 2 and Subject 3 (road driving skills test) cannot exceed five. If you fail the fifth test appointment, the results of other subjects that have already been passed will be invalidated.
Most of my friends who are getting their driver's license can take the second subject test after practicing for 15 to 20 days. It really depends on the individual—some with good coordination can master difficult maneuvers like reverse parking and hill starts in just ten days. The key is to thoroughly practice the five basic operations: reverse parking should be smooth on both sides, parallel parking requires precise mirror reference points, and hill starts must avoid stalling while maintaining proper distance from the curb. Practicing two to three hours daily is ideal; overdoing it can lead to confusion. My cousin, for example, intensively trained for two weeks, mastering speed control in S-turns and right-angle turns, and passed in one go. Don’t just focus on the number of practice days—what matters is being confident in each test item.
