How Long Does It Take to Get the Driver's License After Passing Subject 4 of the Driving Test?

After completing Subject 4, the vehicle management office will process the license within one working day. If you choose to have the license mailed, the vehicle management office will send it to the address provided during registration, and you should receive it within about a week. If you haven't received your license, you can call the vehicle management office to check whether it has been issued. Until you receive your license, you are not allowed to drive on the road—if caught by traffic police, it will be considered unlicensed driving. Avoid the risk of having your license revoked before you even receive it. Note that the driver's license has a probationary period of one year, during which you must display a probationary sign on the rear window while driving.
When I passed the fourth subject of my driving test, I got my license on the spot—it took less than an hour, really efficient. If it's crowded or near the end of a workday, the DMV might arrange for you to pick it up the next day or have it mailed to your address, which could take two or three days. After passing, don’t just celebrate—double-check your photo and details to avoid any mistakes that might waste your trip. Once you have your license, don’t rush into driving recklessly. First, familiarize yourself with road procedures like parking techniques and lane-changing signals—safety comes first. A friend of mine took the test in a remote area, and the license arrived a few days late, but as long as you pass, you’ll get it eventually. Just be patient and get ready to cruise in your new car.
