How Long Does It Take to Fully Charge a NIO with Fast Charging?
1 Answers
NIO vehicles take either 1 hour or 48 minutes to fully charge, as each NIO model comes in two versions: standard range and long range. All standard-range versions of NIO models are equipped with a 70 kWh battery, while the long-range versions feature a 100 kWh battery. In terms of charging speed, the standard-range version can reach 80% charge in just 48 minutes, whereas the long-range version takes 1 hour. NIO's fast charging can achieve a power output of up to 180 kW. During charging, the battery releases a certain amount of heat. An advanced BMS (Battery Management System) effectively monitors and regulates the battery temperature to ensure optimal operating conditions. Charging speed may vary if the battery temperature is too high or too low. If the BMS intervenes promptly to regulate the temperature in advance, it can enhance the charging speed. The NIO EC6, NIO's third mass-produced model—a smart electric coupe SUV—made its global debut. The EC6 features a coupe-style body design with an ultra-low drag coefficient of just 0.27 Cd. Its integrated panoramic glass roof covers a total area of 2.1 square meters. The EC6 Performance Edition is equipped with a front 160 kW permanent magnet motor and a 240 kW induction motor, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 4.7 seconds. With a 100 kWh liquid-cooled thermal battery pack, the EC6 Performance Edition offers an NEDC range of up to 615 km.
